Pollack, Stinson and Levac conducted an intersectional analysis to tease out responses by different groups of women in the results of several years of the Public Service Employees Survey. They found significant differences between diverse groups of women in their familiarity with their collective agreement and their comfort accessing formal workplace dispute mechanisms without fear of reprisal.

These findings underscore the importance for unions of re-examining workplace dispute resolution procedures and practices to find ways to ensure equitable access for diverse groups of women. This report provides a starting point for discussing where and how changes can be made to create truly inclusive workplaces.
