Surveying Policy Priorities: The Saskatchewan Women’s Issues Study

“If you could work together with the government to make one change right now, what would that change be?”
This report presents the findings of a two-year case study identifying key issues of concern on the topics of gender issues, public policy, and public engagement in the province of Saskatchewan, and to obtain participants’ recommendations for addressing these issues. The participants identified and elaborated on many intersecting issues such as violence against women, issues affecting Aboriginal women, poverty and lack of physical/reproductive health services, and their links with broader political, economic and societal structures.
This report can be used by policymakers, women’s organizations and activists to advocate for meaningful change for women in Saskatchewan.
