Public Services – Who Does What?

In this report, Findlay and Johnston explore the intricate and complex puzzle of public service provision in Canada. The authors look at both the private and voluntary sectors’ involvement in “public” service provision and the overlapping involvement of multiple levels of government from the funding to the administration of the services.
It is important to understand who does what, so we can become better equipped to ensure accountability, equity, and quality in our public services.
