Making New Feminisms: A Conversation Between a Feminist Mother and Daughter

This paper evolved from conversations between a mother and daughter on how feminism has affected their lives and understanding of the world in which they operate. The authors look at this question in the context of the literature on ‘mothering’ and apply this and their own relationship to the issue of ‘generation’ within the women’s movement. The central issue that is discussed in this context is that of learning and resistance, and patterns of authority and power that have evolved in the feminist movement.
