Marjorie Griffin Cohen explores how different policies can either reinforce or restrain anti-feminist and regressive actions in times of economic stress. The educational resource looks at the major economic crises in recent decades in Canada and their gendered and intersectional impact. Cohen highlights the social and economic repercussions of sexist ideas about which sectors of the economy are most important and how the Canadian government supports these different sectors in times of crisis (or does not) based on underlying sexism and racism in economic decision-making.
