Call for Submissions 2024

We are now accepting submissions for Volume 13 of the Feminist Word (F-Word).

The deadline for submissions is March 8, 2024.

This edition’s themes are:

  • Global Feminism
  • Social Solidarity
  • Resistance
  • Justice
  • Empowerment

What’s on your mind? What does resistance and empowerment mean to you as a feminist? Are there voices and stories that you think deserve recognition and a platform? How are the local lived realities of women shaped by global histories, frameworks, and forces? Is there a social issue you’re passionate about? Share your thoughts, writing, artwork or photos with us today and get published in our upcoming edition!

Who can contribute?

This call is open to young women between the ages of 15 and 35. We accept contributions – be it analyses, articles, stories, poems, art, or photography – from young women in Canada and around the world.

Guidelines:

  • The contribution must be free from all forms of discrimination (non-sexist, non-racist, non-homophobic, etc.)
  • Written contributions should be under 700 words for individual authors or up to 1,400 words for collaborative pieces.
  • We are a bilingual publication, so we encourage submissions in French!
