The Feminist Word

The Feminist Word (The F-Word) features the voices of young women across Canada by showcasing their thoughtful and creative words and art. This CRIAW publication is widely distributed in print and online.

We are accepting submissions for the 6th edition of the F-Word!

This call is open to anyone and everyone who identifies as a young woman between the ages of 15 and 29. We accept analysis, personal stories, comments, rants, poetry, reviews or any other feminist writing on a wide range of topics.

If art and photography is more your thing, we also accept artistic contributions for every issue!

Please send your submissions before September 9th, 2019 to fword.efem@criaw-icref.ca with the subject: FWORD.

Guidelines

‣ The contribution must be free from all forms of discrimination (non-sexist, nonracist, non-homophobic etc.)

‣ Written contributions should be under 700 words for individual authors, or up to 1,400 words for collaborative pieces.

What’s on your mind? What challenges do you feel feminists face today? What’s bugging you? Do you have something to share with others? Something you want to discuss related to popular culture, work, relationships, body image or anything else? We want to know!
