Canadian Beijing+25 Network

The Canadian Beijing+25 Network is a grassroots network of over 60 feminist and equality-seeking organizations working on women's rights and gender equality and committed to the monitoring and implementation of the Beijing Platform for Action (BPfA) in Canada.

The Network operates as a place where civil society organizations come together to work collaboratively, to identify points of consensus where they exist, and determine key priorities for domestic and global action. The Network facilitates communication and collaboration between members through shared knowledge, resources, and recommendations.

Building on the work Network members have done in their parallel report Unfinished Business, a number of Working Groups have been established based on the Generation Equality Forum Action Coalitions.

  • Gender-Based Violence
  • Economic Justice and Rights
  • Bodily Autonomy and Sexual and Reproductive Health and Rights (SRHR)
  • Feminist Action for Climate Justice
  • Technology and Innovation for Gender Equality
  • Feminist Movements and Leadership
  • Women, Peace and Security and Humanitarian Action

Working Groups are responsible for developing and refining key priorities to advocate and shape domestic implementation of the BPfA.

Membership to the Canadian Beijing+25 Network is open to feminist organizations in Canada working on women’s rights and gender equality. Find out more and join the network here.
