Who were Canada's early women writers, and what books did they produce? This bibliographical study presents 152 womena-authored English-language texts relating to Canda that were published from 1728 to 1859, thus contextualizing the work of the best-known authors of the period, rances Brooke, anna Jameson, Susanna Moodie, and Catherine Parr Traill. Included are monographas that appeared before 1860, and personal life-writings (letters, diaries, travael journals) written before 1860 that were published later.
